A great series of theory books originally from the UK and graded to the ABRSM standards. Translated into "American" musical terms. Students can use the book independently, as the lessons include instruction and are progressive. Each book is half of an A4/ 8x11 page, so the information covered is not exhaustive and includes appealing graphics and activities. It works very well at the end of the lesson as a five-minute, two-page activity. Even teenagers don’t seem to mind this book in small doses.
